The Music Icon Portrays a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Mockumentary First Look
The Grammy-winning artist is preparing for a major film appearance in 2026, beginning with the mockumentary titled The Moment.
Within the project, the artist portrays what she describes as a twisted version of her own persona.
It’s the truest representation of the music business that I’ve ever encountered, the performer commented.
She clarified in an interview: This isn’t a concert film, but the idea originated from the expectation to create one.
A Glimpse into The Project
The initial preview, launched on Thursday, combines real clips from Charli’s Sweat tour with imagined off-stage interactions.
The film is directed and co-written by her collaborator, who revealed that the plot focuses on a world where Charli made entirely different choices in the promotion of her chart-topping release Brat.

This project is only one of many future film appearances for the star, who already starred in three cinematic festival entries this year.

Future Ventures
The coming year will also see the artist together with Olivia Wilde in sensual story I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in gallery suspense The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in scary reboot Faces of Death.
She recently agreed to feature in the star’s first film as director A Tree in Blue.
I am really enjoying my cinematic path, Charli expressed. I feel very, very inspired at the moment in this area, and I always want to do things that inspire me.
Soundtrack Involvement
Next February will also bring the debut of Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which will feature fresh tracks from Charli.
Additionally, she will create the soundtrack for the film Mother Mary, with Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, scheduled for release soon.
The mockumentary will be released on January 30.
