The Three Lions Recall Bukayo Saka While Bellingham, Phil Foden & Jack Grealish Are Left Out

Bukayo Saka in action

The Arsenal forward has recorded a dozen goals in 44 games for England.

The national side have called up Bukayo Saka for upcoming games against Wales and Latvia, yet there's no spot for Jude Bellingham, Foden or Grealish.

Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka missed the previous qualifier wins over Andorra and Serbia due to a hamstring injury.

Saka recently returned for his club and found the net in their victory against the Greek side on Wednesday.

The England international comes in for Arsenal team-mate Noni Madueke, who is out of action till next month because of a knee problem.

The Three Lions meet Wales in a warm-up match at the national stadium on Thursday prior to a qualifying match in Riga on 14 October.

Should England triumph in Latvia, they will need a maximum of two points from their last two qualifiers against Serbia and Albania in November to reach next summer's tournament in North America.

Bayer Leverkusen defender Quansah replaces Newcastle United’s Livramento, who is out for up to eight weeks after sustaining a knee issue against Arsenal recently.

Elliot Anderson and Djed Spence, who earned their maiden national team selections last month, retain their places. Loftus-Cheek also remains in the squad, even with the recovery of Wharton.

The attacker has featured in just one game for Tuchel since he became England manager, because of fitness and hamstring injuries.

Bellingham missed the last England international camp as he recovered from a shoulder operation and has only made a single start for Real Madrid after coming back to fitness.

The Manchester City player was left out from the coach’s last England squad following a dip in performance and has been unable to force his way back, even with a strong start to the campaign with City.

The forward also misses out in spite of a revival in form on loan at Everton. The 30-year-old has not played for England since last year.

Complete England Squad

Goalkeepers: Henderson (Palace), Jordan Pickford (the Toffees), Trafford (City)

Defenders: Burn (Newcastle), Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace), James (Chelsea), Konsa (Aston Villa), Myles Lewis-Skelly (the Gunners), Jarell Quansah (Bayer Leverkusen), Spence (Spurs), John Stones (City)

Midfield: Elliot Anderson (Forest), Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest), Jordan Henderson (the Bees), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (AC Milan), Declan Rice (the Gunners), Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa)

Attackers: Bowen (West Ham), Eze (Arsenal), Gordon (Newcastle), Kane (Bayern Munich), Rashford (Barcelona), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)

'Focus on omissions over inclusions'

The manager’s latest England squad draws attention on those the boss has left out instead of the players he has selected.

Jude Bellingham's exclusion may cause surprise but the coach believes there is no need to recall the Real Madrid star.

City’s Foden and on-loan Everton forward Jack Grealish have both performed well in the early stages of the campaign.

The players Tuchel utilised in the team’s qualifying victories versus Andorra and Serbia deserve the chance to continue.

There will be disappointment that the Gunners’ Noni Madueke is not included because of injury.

The Forest player has settled well at international level.

Tuchel is a admirer of the attacker, in particular, as well as Foden.

One unexpected move, it comes in the exclusion of Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton.

Bellingham, naturally, will be needed further down the line.
